SOSS Customer Reviews
I bought these despite reading some reviews that the percentage of useable hinges was low. Shop around. If half of them don’t work your still very much ahead money wise. That being said I haven’t yet had one fail. Buy the right sized drill bit and use a drill press and they work great. I will say that I had to file down a slightly oversized screwdriver to properly tighten the screws though. As you tighten the set screw it retreats into a pretty small hole and smaller, thinner screw drivers will break when you try to tighten them all the way.
Worked great. I used it to hold a built in bookshelf secret door into a hidden room. I used 4 latches and they held the weight with no problem. My bookshelf was fairly light so if you have a heavy swinging door use the larger hinges.
The worked as expected. Smooth action and no trouble installing them using only the paper template and a drill and chisel method.
